The Ardana is a colourful bird from Filipino folklore, but like many local myths and tales it is thought that as time passed it was influenced by the Europeans who were steadily spreading across the world.

The Adara is a bird of many colours, bright reds, pinks, purples, blues and golden browns with black and white lines. It is believed to have a song that can cure people of their ills, but a wary person will not fall asleep around the Adara bird!
