The tales of the Simurgh are told all across the Persian Empire, and in Iranian tales it is said that this is a creature who has been alive for such a length of time, it has personally witnessed the destruction of the world three times over. As would be expected of a being who has lived this length of time, it is a creature of great wisdom.
