Sirins are a part of the mythology of Russia and the Slavic regions. She has the head of a woman, but the body of a bird and her song is known the drive people into such a state of bliss that they will go to the death. Not to be confused with the Greek Sirens, who lead sailors to their doom, the Sirin is said to be less malicious although they can inadvertently cause people to lose their minds in a state of bliss!
