The Strix is a tale of the God’s and their whims.

Once the daughter of Ares, Polyphonte was transformed into the Strix as punishment for defying the Goddess Aphrodite. The Strix resembles a large bird, most commonly described as owl-like. Now a mournful creature, she uses her cries to warn of the coming of hard times.
