There are many different descriptions of Vodyanoy. To make matters hard, they are shapeshifters so you can never be sure whether you are facing a human, a Vodyanoy or even a fish. The most common description is when the creature is inhuman form, and often water is seen leaking from its clothing and it will leave wet patches as it goes. In its true form, frog or toad like is one description which is common.
